What would be the best Super Sniper Scope for a 308 PSS? Thanks for the help.

Welcome to The OT.

Do mean power range, (10x, 16x, 20x,) or the side focus option which is offered only on the 10x??

10x is great for all around and will have an edge in the lowlight over the other two.

16x and 20x may give you too limited field of view inside 300 yrds.

my 2 cents, but i ain't a tactical guy.

cheap and some of the others have the REAL answer .

10x is like looking at something that is 1000 yds away and having it appear the same size as it would at 100 yds so the 10x is by far the most popular and it's one of my favorite scopes, I have two and would like to have more. The other factor is that as the power increases the exit eye pupil decreases so the 10x will appear to be much brighter at dawn and dusk than the others. But if you want higher power to shoot prairie dogs or small targets the 16 and 20 certainly have their place. The 20x on my PSS looks like it won me a new toy in my photo "Hot New Nurse". The 20x is actually really fun for daylight slipping through the woods after small critters and would be a perfect match for a 22-250 or .223 etc for small critters plus it doubles as a spotting scope. The 10x can still be shot off hand but you will want a good rest with the 20x. When my 20x was on my .223 it really took a lot of will power to only look at the turkeys out in the field.  As for using it at closer distances than 300 like mentioned above - thats not an issue it works great and focuses as close as about 10 meters. Might be cool to stick one on a .22  and shoot designs into sheet metal like Topperwine did (San Antonio gun dealer from the 50s).

I'd say 10x.

In my opinion, sometimes more magnification is a hinderance rather than a benefit: smaller FOV, less light, more transmission of movement, and SMALLER FOV.

I'd say if the plan is to never get the rifle off the bench and never in low or fading light, do 16 or even 20.  If you plan to move with the gun, shoot from less stable positions or supports, and might want to take a shot early or late, go with the 10 or possibly 16.
