Has anyone used these binos? Are they well balanced? Are they just a "stand" binocular? I am interested in a good low-light 10 or 12X for work (and use in the mountains) to see details at dawn/dusk. How would the Victories compare to Swaro SLC 56mm binos? |

Rusty, I own the Zeiss Victory 8X56 T* P*. They are awesome for low light hunting which is why I bought them so I could sit on my hunting stands till the big bucks come out which is usally almost pitch black where I hunt. They are mainly a stand bino because the weigh almost 40 oz. IMO Zeiss makes better optics than Swarovski. I have compared my Zeiss Victory 8X56 to my fatherinlaws Swarovski 15X56 and the Zeiss are brighter with better contrast and resolution. The big exit pupil diffrence I'm sure has alot to do with the brightness though.
