This is a 100 yard 5 shot group with my .308 and a 10x Super Sniper. Measured .382 CTC.
I have a 3 shot group thats a little better, but I can't get the Optics Gallery to upload it for me... Edited by cheaptrick |

You are such a show off, my friend.
Nice group though. If you can do that consistently, you are a much better shot than I am. Is that handloads or factory ammo? ILya |

That's an awesome group. Did you do anything to that 700 or is that out of the box? Saw your pics of it earlier; nice southpaw piece.
Going to be putting the first rounds through my new 700P this weekend with the SS10X and see how it does. When boresighted, it showed 1moa left and 7moa up from zero with leupold mk4 base and badger rings....I would have rather it been 7moa down, cause I'm loosing long distance adjustment. What is the MOA adjustment on the SS, and is 7moa off acceptable or should I be looking at shimming? Edited by Hamburger |

Koshkin: Handloads. 168gr. SMK's, 45.5gr. Varget, CCI BR2 primers, and plain 'ol Federal brass. I use the Lee Collet die as well. Some neck turning and every round goes through my run out gauge and is marked appropriately.
I would encourage anyone who is looking for a really good and cheap neck die, to consider the Lee Collet.
This rifle is stock, but I did tune the Remington trigger down to 2 1/4 lbs and bedded the action for a tighter fit. The fiberglass bedding didn't really improve accuracy though. Betty shot great right from the get go.
Thanks for the nice comments, fellas.

Hamburger: You still have a ton of "up" left in that SS. No worries..... |

LB308: The Lee Deluxe set has a FLS, collet neck die, and a seating die. The FLS die is kinda on the rough side and scratches the necks on my brass, terrible neck tension too, but the seating and collet die are good to go. I just use a RCBS SB die for my FL sizing needs. Which, I hope is not that often...I'm rather lazy! |

I love the bird pics too, enter one of those also. There is no limit to how many times you can enter the contest. Contest pictures automatically go into rotation on RifleScopes.com and appear in the upper right hand corner of every page. Pictures posted on the OpticsTalk photo server just appear there and not the contest or RifleScopes.com.... Its just a free picture hosting service. |
