Skylar, actually the big snow is south of Buffalo, not sure what the city has received but it's considerably less than the numbers your seeing.

If you look at the other lake effect radar around Watertown,NY that's not far from where we hunt.. My hunting buddy lives in Clayton, nY and says we will end up with over 4'

Hmmm... I'll stay in Texas, thank you very much.

I know my fellow Texans cannot drive in any inclimate weather but having to deal with that much snow is ridiculous. I also enjoy the snow especially when hunting. However the thought of having to shovel my sidewalk and driveway everyday is equal to a kick in the nuts in my opinion.

Power of radio is why I brought it up.

There is a pretty conservative station I listing to, WBAP, and they were talking about five inches an hour and upwards of sixty inches just today.

But that is good that it is not impacting you as bad.

Skylar, the 3-5" per hour is true, we in Oswego probably see it happen 2-3 times per winter. 1-2" per hour is not unusual at all. I just flew in from Wausau, WI and we have no snow at all but a bunch is forecast for tonite or tomorrow. Will probably screw up the hunting this weekend.

Better a snow for hunting than the 2"+ of cold rain predicted for here Saturday. But the rain would the better than to get have the same 2" moisture in snow.
Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow
Now the rules have changed again.

Lile, we will probably have 4' or more where we hunt. That translates to no hunting this weekend.

This weekends forecast for North Texas is wide spread rain.  Thinking we may receive about 2"

Had the cold continued to hang around, that would have been snow instead of rain and most likely would have been 12-18" of snow!

Oh well. I'm not complaining, because we could sure use the rain.

Now that we're beset by "Global Warming", even Texans in Houston know what snowballs are.
