Concidering new scope for 7mm mag and looking for any 1st hand performance knowledge/opinions on either Vortex Viper HS 4-16 x 44mm or Nikon Monarch 4-16 x 50mm SF as far as low light performance and overall clarity/brightness. THANKS!!

Doing the same thing, finally settled on a Vortex Viper HS LR 4-16x44. I compared it to many, many others and thanks to alot of input on here decided it was the one for me. I really like the MOA reticle, not much more than a regular HS either.

I have seen both Viper HS LRs, and prefer the 50mm, although both are nice.

I thought I had settled on saving for the SWFA 5-20SS, but may just spring for the HS LR, to give t a good workout.

Decisions...

The SS is REALLY GOOD.
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?
