What is the difference between the Bushnell Elite 3200 and the 4200 other than the price?

3200 has 3X zoom erector, i.e. 3-9X

4200 has 4X zoom erector, i.e. 2.5-10X, except for the 3-9X version, which was added to the 4200 line only because this is a very popular magnification range.

4200 has better optics, better coatings, reportedly higher light transmission, and supposedly more robust internal mechanics than 3200.

Got'em both , and indeed the clarity on the 4200 is superior.Rifle Dude hit the "nail right on the head", but for the money,a 3200 is still a good buy if you're looking to keep the purchase under $200.
