most shots will be at 75-150yds...budget appx $200...new to hunting...not wise in the ways of optics...please advise

for $200 i would say a nikon monarch is a good choice, 2x7 sounds good

You will have to get a side mount which means drilling into the side of the receiver.  It will significantly reduce the collecter interest in your rifle.  I would suggest buying a Marlin to mount a scope on.
