The rifle;  Winchester model 70 classic LH 7mm Rem mag, SS 26" barrel
The brass; New winchester?
The bullets; Nosler PT. or Speer 175 GS?
The powders; H 1000, IMR 7828, R 22, Accurate Mag pro, Win. WRX?
The primer; Rem. 9 1/2, Win. LR, CCI LR mag?
This is what I have on hand.
This the forth 7 MM mag I have had since 1962. The first was a
Savage 110, [2] Remington 700, [3] Maurer 3000 now the model 70. With the powder on hand at the time, they would not attain 3000 fps with a 175 Gr bullet?
Is there any of these load combo that work for you? Let me know.

From what I gather, a heavy dose of RL22 or RL25 should get you very close to that 3000fps.

Hornady 7th edition 66.2gr Rl 25, 2900+ fps.  Nosler 6th edition 62.5gr RL 22, 2970fps.  Note: These are compressed full load charges, Be carefull.

I had a Remington with a 24 inch barrel in 7mm rem. mag. about 25 years ago and I got good velocity and dafe pressures with 78 grains of H870 and 175 grain bullets. If I remember right these loads clocked close to 2950 fps. Another 2 inches of barrel should get you close to 3000 fps.

The Speer reloading manual #14 lists my old of 78 grains of h870 and the 175 grand slam as the fastest load at 2954 in a 24 inch barrel. It beats R25 by 66 fps., r22 by 124 fps. and H1000 by 172 fps.
