looking to buy one of 3 guns, sako trg 42 in 300 win, 2600 bucks...hands down the best of the 3 but very heavy for the bush although a great price........2nd, savage 10/110 hs precision 300 win 1100 bucks, dont no much about savage never owned one..3rd remington sendero 300 win 1100 bucks, always loved remington guns and never had a problem with them......botton line most of the hunting i do is high in the mountain in fairly heavy bush with quite a bit of walking on and up grades........all 3 are not light guns but would love to hear any or all opinions on which of the 3 you all would buy based on cost, quality and usefullness..............

I think the TRG is to heavy for what you are doing and also to bulky.  The sendero's have been being used for years or exactly what you want and havea  good track record.  Another I'll tell you to look at is a Tikka T3 (several different options you can look at).  The t3 lite is proven and very accurate and as some say "the actions are as smooth as butter"

You might also look into the FN SPR. All the rifles listed are quality rifles. The Savage with the H&S, is not going to be light, either. Most replace the stock on the Remmy, so that is going to make it more expensive.

All of them have strengths and weakness's. Except for maybe the TRG, which is probably as good as a custom. But you are paying custom price as well. Savage is a very accurate rifle, but will have the roughest action. Remington is most likely going to be a very good rifle as well, but they can vary. The Hogue stock is not very good.

Of the Savage and the Remington, the Savage with the accu-trigger has a better trigger than the Sendero, but the Sendero has the smoother action.

I have a very accurate Sendereo in 264, though I wouldn't want to lug around this 10lbs all day long.

+10 Sendero 300 winmag (prefer 1st gen stainless) but a proven out of the box shooter. On occassion I get one that wants to throw the cold bore round and inch out. I've had good success stopping that by removing the load bump on the end of the forearm (make it a true free-float). They say that will void the warranty so they have to choose. Keep the warranty or have a cold bore tac driver.
Good Luck with your choice.

one more question, robinson armament XCR was just wondering if anyone had anything bad to say about this weapon.. a buddy of mine bought one and i was stunned by it accuracy...he has a elcan spector duel role 1x/4x optical sight with balistic retical, 0 it in at a 100 and the hash marks do the rest...impressive would be an understatement.......again just wondering about the gun.......thanks......
