I have a ruger m77 in 260 and have tried h414,h380,h4831,&imr7828 with 100g & 129g hornaday sst with h4831 with h129sst shooting the best(1.5 at 100y).Anyone have another load that works well in a ruger? My other rifles may have spoiled, but I can not stand not being able shoot a inch group.

its based on the .308, so .243 .260 7-08 .308 are all suppose to be very accurate, some times it takes a while to develope a great handload thats what makes it a challenge. i would just keep trying new loads till one dials you in.

We need some more here to feast on. Based on the case I'm going with my stand by .308 powders, 4895 and 4064.
Jbird, I haven't shot an inch with factory loads either and I have at least 8 boxes left, mixed between the big three + Speer. I'll get back on this eventually.

4064 and 4895 have worked very well for me in the .243 especially  with 4895 i see no reason why like tahqua said they wont work, just a matter of the right amount of powder.

can't really advise regarding your specific rifle but Reloader 22 and 140-142 grain bullets works very well

in the rifle I had.
