Doesnt CZ build a nice one?   I think I'd be looking at 204 Ruger  or .223 or 22-250.  Im hearing a lot of good stuff about 17 remmington and 17 fireball and 19 Badger. There are still a few out there with the 220 Swift also.

I already have a hornet, a 17HMR, two 221 fireballs and a 223. Just want to build a custom hornet.   Dale

  Tenwalker go www.savageshooters.com then look for the vendors and then Northlander Shooting Supply he sells savage actions both repeater and single shoot. He also carries shilen & mcgowin barrels.   or call 1-763-682-4296 his name is Jim Briggs knows his stuff when it comes to savage guns and parts.

I think Ruger sells one in the 77 line.
