Help me decide on the 2006 Burris Xteme Tactical 6-24x50mm.  The only issue I am having is the adjustments for elevation are 1 MOA per click instead of the typical 1/4 MOA per click.  Am I correct is concluding that for shooting 1000 yards in the worst case scenario the point of aim and the bullseye could be off by a maximum of 5.23 inches ( 1/2 times 1.047 MOA per click per 100 yds times 1000 yds)?  By the same conclusion for  firing at a target at 500 yds the maximum deviation between point of aim and location of target would be 2.6 inches?  Would having 1 MOA per click elevation adjustments be a serious disadvantage for engaging long range targets?

I think your calculations are correct.   However, with 1MOA clicks, dialing in the right elevation is a lot faster than and less error prone than with 1/4MOA clicks.  Also, for most of us that kind of a deviation at 1000yards is not a big deal when you have to contend with wind and other unpleasantries of long range shooting.
