I own a Mark 4 3-9x40mm PR Mil-Dot made in 2003.  ( want to get a LaRue mount for the Mark 4 and need to figure out the tube size.

Does anyone know what the correct tube size is?  30mm or 1 inch?

The Mk4  3-9x40  PR scopes were all 1 inch tubes  -  I have one.

Ya know, somethings I would never just take somebody's word for off the internet.  Not that I think they would lie to me.  Then there are a couple of jokers... But still, if I have it in my hands, and I am not worried about those last .000001 of an inch, even a cheap rule would get me the answer.  The two companies I listed are pro grade for machine shop.  There are ten buck plastic ones now that are not bad, but I have to put my name on recommending something, then those are the ones.

When you have to call up somebody and talk to them about thier part being out of spec.  They blow you crap.  Then you ask them questions and read off the numbers, those two names are what the people in their shop normally use... That extra money gets paid for in a couple of phone calls.

I dont need to measure it its a Mark 4 PR 3-9x40 made in 2003 --- I have one -- I know it's one inch. Problem solved.  As for needing to talk to somebody about their part being out of spec - I havent ever had a need to do that - I'm not a mechanic. I do however have a Starrett micrometer which I have little oops no use for since I have never used it. It was my Dad's and my brother sent it to me with a note attached saying I dont know if you can use this but I have 2.   Havent a clue how you read it or what practical value it has.  But I do know the diameter of that scope.

Since there are two optics masters reading the post, any suggestions on how to mount my Mark 4 on my LaRue?
