Has anyone used M-i-d-s-ou-t-h-Shooter Supply 20 cal Varmit Xtreme 34 gr flat base HP bullets? I was wondering how accurate they are and who makes them. They look like a good deal price wise.
Thanks

I've bought items from them but not 20 cal. I'm thinking stay with name brands --- Sierra, Speer, Horniday, Barnes, Nosler. You cant be saving much once the shipping is added to the cost unless you are buying a lot of bullets. The flip side is one box of 20 cal 34 gr bullets cant be that much money so if you want to try them then try them. Must be for a 204 ruger. It all sounds a bit odd to me anyway as anything smaller than .308 (for me) falls into the why bother category since the light weight bullets dont hold energy very far and the only cost effective factory loaded cartridge in that range is .223 since you can buy them in 5o round boxes from BH. Reloading takes lots of time - get to 6.5 x 284 and you've got my interest or save yourself some real money and reload some .375 H&H as it takes about the same amount of time to make a hundred rounds of anything.

a good weekend of 204 would be 2000 rds. unfortunately the 223 doesn't hold a candle to the 204, at 4200 fps. it takes a 40 gr hot loaded 22-250 to keep, up with accompaning barrel heat and erosion. while the time is the same, almost, the cost difference in reloading between 204 and 308 is considerable. bullet cost becomes really important, 20 boxe of 204 would be 360 and the same 308 (target) would be 600.

They come 500 bullets a box $34+ S&H, Name brand 250 bullets $37 + S&H. I load for 20 different calibers so saving a little money means a little to me. If they were boxed 100 bullets i'd buy them, if they don't shoot well i don't want a bunch of bullets laying around.
I was just wondering if someone had used them and what they thought of them. I don't need a lesson in how much it costs to reload and shoot my guns.
Thank You !

My brother in law and I have used both in our 204's and they shoot very well. They are not bench rest quality, but are minute of prairie dog at 250 yards (longest shot I have taken with them ) they are manufactured by Nosler.
