Last night I had an older revolver show up for some work. From what I can tell the pistol was a Spain made S&W from the 20's in 32-20. I might be wrong as I have been once. The guy that brought it in was in his 60's and says his grand dad carried it in the 30's and 40's when he was a LEO. It was in pretty rough shape. I did what I could with out bluing it as the guy didn't want to.He told me it has not seen day light in 25 years before he brought it to me.

As I was working on this my music player played this song twice.
Hit play before viewing.

Here she is, as she was handed to me

The insides.

All the parts out and ready to be cleaned.

I worked my magic and 3 hours later all the parts are clean

The finished and and cleaned

I think it turned out fairly well for how bad it was gone. Being as old as it is the revolver is still pretty tight and not warped.

Nice honest for its age piece.  The music is appropriate too. I miss the Mountain music.

Interesting, the lockworks are S&W, but the main spring is Colt.
I wonder how smooth the double action is, and how consistent the pull is with that v-spring?

Cool, Spain made some pretty good guns. Astra, and CETME come to mind, and I'm sure there are others.
It cleaned up well for the condition it was in. Hows the bore, and chambers?

They were okay, I lapped and polished both. The chambers looked like a  mirror and the barrel looked pretty well had a few deep places at the crown, for the most part it polished up nice. I would feel good about shooting it.

You did a very nice job on that. I would be very interested to see how it shoots.
