Hi all. I have been using SS scopes exclusively since 1998. I have 5 and have had great results. These new scopes really are fantastic!!
I just received my new AR scope. Straight killin machine if there ever was one!
Never thought Id be happy to toss a grand into the wind. Well worth the wait. I bought a new Sig 516 eight months ago. I waited to shoot that gun till it had a proper optic on it.I am glad i did not compromise. That rig is a runnin and gunnin muther let me tell you!

Here is the thing. When i mounted the SS into the AMD mount, i squared up the scope by matching the flat bottom of the scope with the flat top of the mount. They are parallel to each other. This done, every time i mount the rifle the reticle looks canted. I realize my shoulder pocket is naturally canted. But when i look at the turrets, they look correct.
Anyone experience this issue?

Never.  Not like described.

First, on the Sig: I have a 716 and really like it.  They made this gun to shoot!

Next, what was your method of squaring?  I use feeler gauges and that works well.

Next, have you put a level on the gun AND the elevation turret to confirm both are level?

I naturally cant a bit, most do, but a level will tell the tale.

I used a parallel and a flashlight to check for squareness. I have not ruled out attempting the age old level level level technique.
And yes. SIG did an OUTSTANDING job with Gene's design!
I have an LWRCI REPR with an SS on it. Great gun. Ill never part with it....but. had the 716 been out and at 1/2 what the REPR costed, likely id have the 716.
The REPR and FN SPR are both slated to recieve 5-20x illums this year. I must say the 10x42M scopes have done a bomb job on my guns at Badlands. As they are retired, they are now riding on top of Beeman R1 Supermagnum break barrel pellet rifles. Such an unfair advantage to the guys i shoot with, i know.
