I'm looking at this power level for a .308 semi-auto rifle because I don't think 4 power is enough. I've found 3 scopes that interest me, Burris, Bushnell and Konus. Any comments or ratings would be appreciated.
Thanks

What is your intended use?
What ranges are you going to shoot at?
Budget?

This is a Black Friday Special that is over midnight 11-28  I have one of these that was on my .308 for the last year and its an awesome tactical scope.   Fixed power optics are way tougher than variable scopes.

Sparky, 200 yds is probably the max for paper punching and zombie clearance. $800 is about the max for a scope on this gun as I have Leupolds on my SCAR17 and AR10.

Uni, as usual, you've gone beyond an answer and offered a full digest of options. Thanks so much.

The cheapest 1.5-6x42 scope I like is Hawke Endurance 30.

However, with your $800 budget you can do better than that.  The best option for a round that amount of money should be the new Meopta Meostar 1.5-6x42 that was announced earlier this year and should be becoming available right around now, I think.

Yes, the Meostar R1 1.5-6x42 features variable day/low-light illumination settings and is avialble now.
Yes I work for Meopta, but I am not here to sell Meopta. Just answering questions and providing reasonable insight.

When is it going to be on your website?
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.
