I finally went ahead and finished my write-up on th 10x42 Tactical scopes that I have been playing with for some time.
Here is the link:
In a nutshell, I found Sightron S3 10x42 a bit disappointing and not as good as the rest of the S3 line.

Good review Ilya. I have kind of wondered about the Sightron.

This was a tough review for me to write.
I like Sightron and have had very good luck with their scopes over the years. However, this one was just not up to par for me. ILya

Great review ILya!
Sightron seems to have some hit and miss. I had a Sightron S2 3-12MD that just did not perform well optically, but a friend's S3 variable is really pretty impressive.

Same experience here with the Sightron S3 20x42, ... thought with the fine reviews here from Sightron and the adjustment range of150 moa.
Have tested the S3 6X24-50, and found this a nice scope
This glas of the S3 20x42 is not the same, ...
My old bushnell 4200 with FF have better glas
This is not a bad scope, but I have expected more

Why is a fixed magnification Worse? Glass is not the same?
I have a 16x42 and this information is disappointing for me...
