I have tried lots of different binos and sent most of them back : but I believe I have a keeper here. I have tried the Zen Ray 8x42 ED3 recently w/ poor results when comparing them to my 8x32 Nikon SE as the Rays were not nearly as bright. I got some Swarovski 8x30SLC that were close to my Nikons but ergonomically inferior for me. Well ,these Bushnells in 10x42 are the real deal.I can't wait to try them in low light this evening. They are equivalent to my benchmark, the SE's in the sunny afternoon . I still may have to try a pair of Nikon 10x42 SE's to see how they match up w/ these Bushnells.
I probably have tried a dozen different binos over the last 10 years in search of the best ,brightest, and detailed images of wildlife. I am just a regular guy with a bino hang up and not connected w/ any manufacturer or anything like that.I never subscribed to the, "you get what you paid for" ,as there are products out there that often are as good as others that cost 3x as much!! I paid $600 for the Nikon SE's ,and they are going up ,if you can find them. These Bushnells were only $435 freight free on Ebay .I did see some SE's for $450 earlier last year and I think they were "like New". |
