I bought the Kahles. No complaints. Tough, tough, tough
binoculars. I'm rough on hunting binoculars--I don't treat them
near as nice as my birding binoculars. The Kahles have been
dropped, bumped, and flushed.
Great color, bright, excellent resolution.
As great, as bright, or as sharp as the others? Don't know. Don't need to know.
The Kahles are the right pair for me the way I hunt. Superb
consistent performance and I don't have to worry about babying them.
Their sight picture is as sharp as my Swift Audubon porros, they are
brighter at dusk and dawn than my Nikon Premier E2 porros, and they
carry well. They come with a great strap, nice tethered objective
covers, the focus ring is big and makes for quick adjustments.
I'm thinking about getting a pair of the 8x32's just to have a small version that I can coat pocket carry if need be.
The others are great optics. The Kahles are great binoculars for
hunting and rigorous outdoor use. They're not bad for birding,
Just my two cents.
Take the long way home...
