I don't know if I have a problem or not.
I got the shooters kit for my SS 10x mil quad and attached the sunshade and flash kill .
Then I went to take off both the flash kill and the sunshade and after a couple of turns I noticed the main tube sun shade was unscrewing . I am worried this holds the lenses and seals in place and if this disrupted anything such as gas and seals . Can the main tube sunshade be removed without damage to the scope .
Any help would be greatly appreciated .

That's not good. The built-in sunshade is not made to be removed and will cause issues with the reticle coming loose if it is. I'd call SWFA and see what they can do for it.

This was mentioned by SWFA on the Snipershide Forums regarding a similar issue.

"Indexing the dial is no problem but most likely he attempted to unscrew the built in sunshade that is not supposed to be unscrewed as it is actually attached to the objective lens assembly. When someone does this it moves the location of the obj lens which changes the distance between it and the parallax adjusting lens which causes major parallax issues."

Well not coming lose but it will seem like it as the parallax will be messed up and you will see it float around as you move your head.
