I am considering downsizing my 'accumulation' and am thinking of buying one scope on picatinny rings and moving it from one rifle to the next.
It would be used for hunting, target shooting(50yd-300yd) and varmint shooting on an AR.
What is a good 5x or 6X scope with a bell no larger than 44mm to do everything?
Thanks!

I wouldn't limit myself to 5x ranges. 4x erector scope will do what you want. I have a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 Plex in an Larue SPR 1.5 that gets swapped around to all my ARs as needed.
